“If there’s a book you want to read, but it hasn’t been written yet, then you must write it.” — Toni Morrison
I love the company of women and believe we could all spend more time heeding and centering their voices and their stories. Maybe it’s because my mother passed away when I was still a child, and I’ve been looking for her ever since. Hoping always, that someone would take my hand and show me the way, give me the manual, pass on the survival guide….the 10 commandments...the golden rules.
Temerity is the book I’ve wished for and wanted to read, over and over again, whether it was during a “WTF” or a “woe is me” or even the old “is this all in my head?” moment. Temerity is my attempt to bottle up some goodness, preserve it and pass it on across time.
Temerity is an ode to my trinity — Sue, Linda and Mildred - who taught me to make my life my argument. It’s for my Auntie Pauline, who taught me to show up. Temerity is for Olivia and Eden, my harvest. The future.
I hope you love it.
P.S. - Deep love and gratitude to my partner, Ryan, who encourages all my shenanigans in serious cahoots, always.

“We have to be visible. We should not be ashamed of who we are. We have to show the world that we’re numerous.” — Sylvia Rivera
Ever since I can recall, so much inspiration in my life has stemmed from women. What they’ve shown me is how beautiful life can be. To navigate this life with power, love and resilience.
Women have been so deeply rooted in my journey thus far, grounding me so that I may bloom to be my most authentic self. I think of my mother who showed me unconditional love, my Maw Maw who encouraged my creative passions, and my amiga that persevered through struggle and made me want to shine as bright as she did.
Temerity is a love letter to those powerful women in my life; it’s a beacon of hope to share knowledge with other women out there who are curious and driven to be brilliant. Women who wish to lead beyond the glass ceiling.
I hope that this podcast leaves you feeling as inspired as I did, as there is something for everyone to leave with. Come one, come all.
Welcome to Temerity!
